The Early Childhood Music Program.

Designed specifically for students ages 3 to 8 years old, the Discovering Music program introduces young learners to the life-long enrichment gained from vocal and instrumental study.

With workshop-style classes for two age groups, (3-5 and 6-8), the education centers around musical activities designed to foster and inspire musical enjoyment and early musicianship skills. Children are encouraged to sing, play instruments, listen to music, and move their bodies!

Using a wide variety of beginning instruments like simple rhythm percussion and mallet and keyboard instruments, exploration and exposure grows as students become more accustomed to the musical process, eventually leading to electric keyboards, ukuleles, and Orff keyboards. Repertoire includes a wide array of children’s songs with an emphasis on music that is current and familiar to children from today’s pop genre.

Students are consistently encouraged to express their natural desire to sing, play, and move, with the goal of helping them develop their skills in a fun setting that promotes confidence.
