Private Lessons are the cornerstone of music education. One-on-one time with a knowledgable, patient and enthusiastic teacher, who can clearly communicate correct technical principles and complex musical concepts, can be a life changing experience. Add to this a teacher who is all of the above, plus an incredible player in his own right, and you have magic.
At the Uptown Music Collective we strive to make every lesson live up to these high standards. All UMC teachers are performers as well as instructors and can be found performing in a wide variety of styles throughout central Pennsylvannia. All have had either formal or informal, high level instruction on their chosen instrument and each is technically gifted and deeply knowledgable in their area of expertise.
All teachers follow a proven curriculum that when combined with the Uptown Music Collective's regular series of classes and workshops is guaranteed to take the student from the beginner to theadvanced level.
The UMC currently offers private lessons for Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboards and Voice.  Half-hour and one hour private lessons are available.  Students may take from multiple teachers on multiple instruments but must declare one principle instrument.
