Our Students

We offer lessons,  classes, and workshops to students starting at the age of 3 to the age of 90!  We all come together through our love of music at the Uptown Music Collective.

Our strongest and most important feature as a school is the powerful student community, or peer group if you will, that has grown up around and in our various educational and performance programs.

Students who live an hour apart, who would probably never have met, become best friends through the power of a shared love of music. Students who might not feel like they “fit in” in other areas of their life, find a home in the halls, practice rooms and activities of the Uptown Music Collective. As teachers, we encourage students and thrust them together through group activities and performances. Everyone works side by side, learning skills, developing teamwork, and frequently forming life-long friendships.

We also have an AMP Program for Adult Students as well as a Discovering Music Program for very young students (ages 3 to 8).  For More information on these programs, please click the pictures below:

The Discovering Music Program:

(Group instruction for Students Ages 3 – 5 and 6 – 8)

The Adult Music Program (AMP)

(Private lessons on guitar, bass, drums, keyboard/piano, and voice, as well as classes and workshops for Students Ages 21 & up)
