UPDATE – March 31st:
As mandated by Gov. Tom Wolf, all K-12 public schools in the Commonwealth will remain CLOSED until further notice. The Uptown Music Collective will be following this mandate.
There will be no on-site lessons, classes, workshops, rehearsals or meetings throughout this time.
We will begin delivering private lessons online during this time and continuing for as long as this mandate continues. We will be monitoring the situation closely and adjusting our timeline as needed.

This means there will be no lessons, classes, workshops, rehearsals or meetings, starting from today (3/13) through March 29th, for the time being. We will be monitoring the situation closely and adjusting our timeline as needed. The Discovering Music Program, UMC Program, AMP (Adult Music Program), as well as Community Performance and Major Performance Programs are currently suspended.
The current plan is to use the pre-scheduled “make-up week” (listed on the calendar as Spring Break) set for the week of April 27th-May 1st to make up for one week of missed lessons. Classes and workshops will be made up, if possible, that week as well. As far as the second week missed due to closure, we are currently working out our options for remote teaching via video or streaming options. Please bear with us in these uncharted waters as we find the best possible way to serve our student population while keeping everyone safe and healthy.
We are also looking into our options for moving the upcoming Student Showcase, currently scheduled for March 29th, to a later date. As soon as we have more information on this we will be sure to inform you as soon as possible. All rehearsals for the Student Showcase are obviously suspended as well, due to the school closure.
