On Friday & Saturday, May 12th & 13th, the Uptown Music Collective will present special encore concerts of their highly acclaimed performance, Friends in Low Places: The Music of Garth Brooks & The Women of ‘90s Country at the Millbrook Playhouse.

Originally performed for one night only in January at the Community Arts Center, the first set of the performance will feature music by female country artists that dominated FM Radio in the ‘90s including Shania Twain, The Chicks (formally The Dixie Chicks), Trisha Yearwood, Faith Hill, LeAnn Rimes, and more. The second set will pay tribute to one of the world’s best-selling music artists, Garth Brooks, featuring hit after hit from this legendary musician! All music will be performed by the dedicated and talented students of the UMC’s Special Performance Group 1.

Attendees will enjoy Garth Brooks songs like Rodeo, American Honky-Tonk Bar Association, Ain’t Going Down (‘Til the Sun Comes Up), The Dance, and more, alongside hits like You’re Still the One, Fancy, This Kiss, and Strawberry Wine by female country artists from the same time period.
