2024 Summer Student Showcase
The Collective’s Summer Student Showcase will be held on July 28th in the Michael Ross Event Center located on the floor above the Collective.
Join us for our first-ever PM Exchange!!
Visit the Uptown Music Collective for a behind-the-scenes look at Lycoming County’s most innovative and highly regarded nonprofit school of music. Guests will enjoy a tour of the facility, live student performances throughout the evening, and a look at the school’s newly upgraded recording studio. Refreshments will be available from local restaurants and breweries, including Le Jeune Chef Restaurant, Therapy Brewing, Nomad Distilling Co., and New Trail Brewing Co., and attendees who drop a business card will be entered to win an exciting door prize!

Now Accepting Scholarship Applications!
The Uptown Music Collective is now accepting scholarship applications for its 2024-2025 school year! This year, the Collective is offering 14 needs- and merit-based scholarships to currently enrolled students and new students wishing to enroll in the Collective for the upcoming year. All scholarships will cover one full year at the school of music.

The Decade of Grunge Encore
The UMC is heading Back To The Barn! On Friday & Saturday, May 10th & 11th, the Uptown Music Collective will present special encore concerts of their highly acclaimed performance, The Decade of Grunge! Originally performed for one night only at the Community Arts Center in January, these concerts will feature iconic sounds from grunge legends like Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, and Pearl Jam, as well as ‘90s mainstays like The Smashing Pumpkins, Bush, Alanis Morissette, Hole, and more, brought to life by the talented students of the Uptown Music Collective. This show is not just a musical event but a nostalgic journey through a revolutionary era in music.
Fleetwood Mac: Rumours & Other Stories
We are excited to announce the FINAL show of the Collective’s 23-24 performance season!! On April 26th and 27th at the Community Arts Center in Downtown Williamsport, the Uptown Music Collective will pay tribute to what many consider the greatest album of all time, Fleetwood Mac’s Grammy award-winning album, Rumours.
Summer 2024 Enrollment
GET ENROLLED AT THE COLLECTIVE – NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! The Collective’s summer enrollment week begins TODAY and runs until April 19th, 2024. Enrollment is open for in-person and virtual private guitar, vocals, bass, keyboards, and drums lessons. Enrolling at the Collective requires no experience, and the school welcomes students at all ability levels. Students who enroll during our enrollment week can participate in classes and workshops at no additional cost.
Winter/Spring 2024 Student Showcase

Rattle And Hum: A Celebration of U2 & Irish Rock
We are excited to announce the THIRD show of the Collective’s 23-24 performance season!! On Saturday, March 16th, for one night only, on St. Patrick’s Day Weekend, the Uptown Music Collective will be throwing a rocking St. Patrick’s Day Party at the Community Arts Center in Downtown Williamsport with an epic celebration of Irish Rock.
Raise the Region with the Uptown Music Collective!
Support the Collective through Raise the Region, a 30-hour online fundraising event on March 13th-14th. Your support makes a difference in the lives of over 150 young people learning and growing at the Collective each week.

It Came from the '80s... AGAIN!
You asked for it… and with the help of our friends at Schlesinger Communications & the Clinton County Arts Council, we made it happen!! On February 10th, the talented students of Uptown Music Collective return to the stage at Price Performance Center on the Campus of Commonwealth University-Lock Haven with a special one-night-only reprisal of their highly acclaimed performance, It Came From the ‘80s: New Wave to Pop Rock.
The Decade of Grunge
We are excited to officially announce the SECOND show of the Collective’s 23-24 performance season & winner of this year’s Peoples Choice voting… The Decade of Grunge happening on January 27th, 2024 at 7:30 pm at the Community Arts Center in Downtown Williamsport!

We are pleased to announce that for the THIRD YEAR IN A ROW, the Uptown Music Collective has been awarded the Williamsport Sun-Gazette‘s Readers Choice Award in the Arts & Entertainment category under “Best Artist/Art Gallery”!! Thanks to all of our fans and supporters who voted for us, we greatly appreciate it!

Giving Tuesday 2023
Friends & Fans!! GivingTuesday, a global day of giving, is happening TOMORROW (11/28)! We hope that after the BlackFriday and CyberMonday spending, you’ll have a little bit left in your wallet to help us push our annual campaign closer to our goal! As of this post, we have raised $20,601 (52% of our goal). Our GivingTuesdayGoal is to add $5,000 to our Annual Campaign total and we need YOUR help!
