'80s Arena Rock:
On April 25th and 26th, the Uptown Music Collective closes out its 24-25 season with ‘80s Arena Rock: Power Ballads & Rock Anthems, a tribute to some of the most significant arena rock bands of the 1980s. Featuring the music of rock heavyweights AC/DC and Aerosmith, alongside 80’s icons Bon Jovi, Journey, Heart, and Def Leppard, this show will be an unforgettable night of anthem-driven hits and power ballads. So grab your friends and your favorite ‘80s band t-shirt, and get ready for an ’80s rock tour de force—performed with all the energy and attitude that only the teenage rockers from the Uptown Music Collective can bring to the stage!
Wonderwall: The Ultimate '90s Mix
There was more to ‘90s rock music than just grunge! With their third 2024-25 season performance, the Uptown Music Collective presents Wonderwall: The Ultimate 90s Mix. This show celebrates the diverse sounds of ‘90s pop rock music, featuring hits from artists like Oasis, Foo Fighters, Sheryl Crow, Green Day, Natalie Merchant, Jewel, Counting Crows, and many more. Join the UMC as they take you on a musical road trip through the soundtrack of a generation, honoring iconic songs that defined one of the most colorful eras in rock history.

Music that Made the Movies
Sometimes a song is defined by a movie; other times, a movie is defined by its songs. Think of films like Top Gun, Pretty in Pink, The Bodyguard, Back to the Future, Young Guns, Dirty Dancing, Footloose, Armageddon, and many more. The Uptown Music Collective brings these iconic soundtracks to life with Music That Made The Movies: Soundtracks That Rock! on January 25th, 2025, at the Community Arts Center for our annual one-night-only people’s choice fundraising show. Join us for an evening filled with the beauty, passion, and energy our talented students are known for.

The Collective’s 2024 Annual Campaign is officially underway! YOU can help future generations of young musicians connect with music. This year’s goal is to raise $40,000.

2024 Fall Student Showcase
The Collective’s Fall Student Showcase will be held on Sunday, December 8th in the Michael Ross Event Center located on the floor above the Collective.
Midnight Train to Memphis
The Uptown Music Collective is excited to send down the tracks Midnight Train To Memphis: The Music of Modern Country as its first show of the 2024-2025 season at the Community Arts Center. The show will feature talented young musicians performing hits by Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood, Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Morgan Wallen, and more. Join us for an unforgettable evening of downhome music as we celebrate today’s modern country stars and their most popular songs.
2024 Summer Student Showcase
The Collective’s Summer Student Showcase will be held on July 28th in the Michael Ross Event Center located on the floor above the Collective.
Join us for our first-ever PM Exchange!!
Visit the Uptown Music Collective for a behind-the-scenes look at Lycoming County’s most innovative and highly regarded nonprofit school of music. Guests will enjoy a tour of the facility, live student performances throughout the evening, and a look at the school’s newly upgraded recording studio. Refreshments will be available from local restaurants and breweries, including Le Jeune Chef Restaurant, Therapy Brewing, Nomad Distilling Co., and New Trail Brewing Co., and attendees who drop a business card will be entered to win an exciting door prize!

Now Accepting Scholarship Applications!
The Uptown Music Collective is now accepting scholarship applications for its 2024-2025 school year! This year, the Collective is offering 14 needs- and merit-based scholarships to currently enrolled students and new students wishing to enroll in the Collective for the upcoming year. All scholarships will cover one full year at the school of music.
